At my parents, sitting up waiting for my boyfriend to finish work so I can call him, sneaking a ciggie in the lounge whilst everyone’s in bed.
It’s like being 15 again.
It’s so nice coming here, even if it is for one night, they have a big and beautiful backyard which my mother is always putting new flowers, succulents, vegetables in. On still nights I can hear the ocean from the backyard and always have a nice coastal breeze going.
In the picture is a broken fly wire screen on the door in which my 2 cats and sometimes one of my dogs jump through, my fathers easel he paints pictures of beaches and oceans on and on top of the book case are medals and trophies I won as a kid. (Silver medals for State Champ swimmer; I won them with the Surf Life Saving Club I grew up in and some dance trophies.)
This reflects I guess, myself as a child and where I am now in my life; Happily living with my boyfriend of just 7 months, kicking mental illness’ butt medication free one day at a time and loving my family more than EVER!
I am so content and so, so happy.
It’s so lovely here.
